Over the Hills and Far, Far Away

I reference this song a lot in my writings about creative process and adventure.  I have posted my favorite version of it here from Madison Square Garden in 1973.  At this point in their careers, the band was on a rocket ship having recently defeated the critics and naysayers.

There are so many reasons, I love this song and this version.  I recommend watching this in its entirety and see if you can figure it out.  You’ll probably find your own meaning too.  As Robert says in the opening “You’ve probably written one just the same.

Maybe you’ll hear what I hear or maybe you’ll discover another meaning.  Either way, this is a song to feel as much as to listen to.
